Policy draft review & approvals
Review the policy together. Publish when it’s ready.
Bring feedback and approvals onto the draft—not another email chain. Your organization’s owners and admins can discuss revisions and approve the current wording before you publish. Review is optional.

Can we allow two working days?

Updated. Ready for your approval.
Less message chasing. Clearer approval.
From draft to ready for publication, keep the conversation with the policy.
1. Prepare the draft
Keep feedback with the draft
Open a draft under the document’s Revisions tab. Work through feedback in Discussion with other owners and admins, rather than piecing together emails and messages.
2. Request approval
Agree on the current wording
Select other existing owners or admins and send an approval request. They review the current content and approve when ready.
3. Publish when ready
Keep publishing in your hands
Every approver still listed must approve the latest content before you can publish. You choose when to publish; approval doesn’t do it for you.
Know which wording was approved
- Content changes need fresh approval
- Edit the text or replace the file, and earlier approvals no longer count.
- You choose when to publish
- Once every listed approver approves the current content, you can publish. Approval doesn’t publish it for you.
- The review stays with the revision
- After publishing, comments and review history remain available as a read-only record.

For contracted HR managers
Review with your client. Then handle the rollout.
Prepare a revised remote work policy, discuss response times with your client, and get their approval on the updated wording.
When you and your client already have owner or admin roles in the client’s organization, that review can happen alongside the draft. No separate email trail to reconstruct before publishing.
Approved wording is the start—not the finish.
Publish the approved revision
Choose when the reviewed policy becomes the current version.
Send document requests
Ask your client’s people to sign the published policy.
Track completion
See who has signed and who still needs to.
Internal approval confirms readiness to publish. It doesn’t replace signatures from your people.
Questions about draft review
Who can review and approve? Can clients use a guest link?
Owners and admins can discuss drafts and request approval from other existing owners and admins. Clients need one of those roles in the organization; there is no external guest-review link. Adding an approver does not grant access.
Is approval required for every revision?
No. Review is optional. With no approvers listed, you can publish as usual. Once you add approvers, everyone still listed must approve the current content.
What happens if I edit an approved draft?
Text changes or file replacements invalidate earlier approvals. Request approval again when ready; saving doesn’t email approvers. Changes to settings or the What changed note don’t invalidate approvals.
Does approval publish the policy or send signature requests?
No. You publish the revision yourself, then send document requests separately when you’re ready to collect signatures. Internal approval does not replace signatures from your people.
Can I review a document before its first publication?
Content written in ClearPolicy starts as a draft and can be reviewed first. New uploads and cloud imports publish their initial revision when added; review later changes in a new draft.
